What was the last time you stopped, collaborated with someone, and really listened to them? In my line of work, these are three foundational steps toward a relationship.
Stop assuming you can help everyone. On a personal and business level, we as individuals can only do so much to help one another. Maybe you can or maybe you know someone who can. Don’t spread yourself too thin.
Collaborate to see what is the problem at hand. Sometimes it isn’t a problem on the service but a future opportunity.
Listen to what the other person is saying. I read somewhere we must ask the other person three questions before we hog the limelight. Three genuine, connected questions to help the other person build trust with you. Try it!
