In a world where everyone is trying to define themselves, when did we stop listening to ourselves? Lessons in life are what we learn and share with the world.
Hello, my name is Rachal Mattiace. I am a Believer, Wife, Daughter, Sister, Friend, Millennial, #Hashtag Fanatic, OrangeTheory fitness junkie, and so much more. The lessons in my life have allowed me to connect with who I am today and prepare me for who I want to become tomorrow. Who I was six months ago is not the same person I am today.
We learn more about ourselves through our failures to recognize what it takes to become a success. Success is measured and defined by what we say. The world’s view of success is often displayed through a filter to appear easy and glamorous. Do you know how long it took for someone to become successful? Financially independent? A business owner? Fill in the blank.
Success comes from the goals we have set for ourselves and the grind we tackle each and every day to get there. Life is about a journey trying new things and learning lessons along the way. There is no right or wrong move to make; the key is to keep trying new things to discover more about yourself. To quote Veronica Roth from her book Divergent,
“I DON’T WANT TO BE JUST ONE THING. I CAN’T BE. I WANT TO BE BRAVE, AND I WANT TO BE SELFLESS, INTELLIGENT, AND HONEST AND KIND.”
These words resonant with what I want out of life. I had my own business and lived the entrepreneurial life of working 50+ hours a week as doors opened for me on a different path. I fell in love and got married. What else is out there I haven’t tried yet? Join me as I dare to try new adventures and as new lessons unfold.
